Thin Films Process Engineer

| Job Purpose |
To drive our projects to closure and provide better troubleshooting of process conditions in the field. This person will take on ownership of all process related work on our Centura/Endura platforms in the areas of CVD, Etch & PVD. Ideally we’re looking for someone with CVD experience, as they will be able to pick up on the Etch and PVD areas. |

| Duties |
- Act as the champion for process startup of OEM projects at customer sites.
- Establish standards to which each tool can be measured to achieve process startup milestone.
- Establish recipes and specification limits to quantify the means and methods to achieve completion of process startup milestone.
- Develop schedules to execute process startup activities, including communication that outlines wafer needs to support process startup.
- Drive process startup schedules and provide technical support to field engineers conducting startup activities.
- Provide escalation support to troubleshoot process problems.
- Engage with customers as required to optimize process recipes and support matching to existing process recipes.

| Travel |
Position will be based in Phoenix
25 – 50% International Travel – travel as required to support closure of projects and to gain final process acceptance of OEM projects. Support sales as needed to discuss potential sales opportunities with customers and quantify scope of work in terms of hardware configuration and expected process results and specification limits. Evaluate with customers metrology measurement methods and confirm setup to meet OEM project needs. |

| Skills/Qualifications |
|
Must have experience working in a fab environment, responsible for process performance, process optimization, yield enhancement.
Must have specific knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), and SPC charts. Familiar with Centura/Endura platforms, Endura a plus.
Must have previous experience writing recipes and adjusting as required to tune process performance.
Familiar with and capable of running metrology tools to perform pre and post measurements on wafers.
Familiar with the setup of metrology equipment.
Proficient with:
- MS Office products
- Strong communication skills
- Strong customer engagement skills
- Statistical Process Control
- 7-8 years process engineering experience working in a semiconductor fab environment. Ideally in the areas of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Will consider Etch and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) too.
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
